This is my first day playing in the lobby, but I've had four games I have cancelled out of now because it took so long to get to the planetary 'start' screen (9 minutes last try) Is this normal? I don't mind waiting longer, if I should, but I'd like to know if this is a known issue and/or if my computer has just locked up.

Really don't mean to complain...just wondering if this is normal. I can host a game just fine...but I am now sitting in a 'generating planet' screen for my 5th minute. I tried two other online games quick to test...and had no problems. Is this a known issue? If so, I'll keep waiting rather than exiting.. but it seems excessive...and I didn't have that issue earlier today.

try blackscreen mod, your system was done loading and was just showing a stupid blackscreen in front of the actually loaded game and f5 would've fixed it.

This F5 tricks is very useful, but I've discovered it only the other night.

Perhaps it could be reminded to the player on the black screen itself?

re-read that and think about it again.
if you have time to go out and write that why not remove the blackscreen bug instead?
it's as simple as copying the mod files to the stock version.

Adding a line of text to a loading screen is no way as time consuming as to go finding a bug.

no but it's more time consuming than a copy-paste. that's what i'm saying.

the mod community already isolated it and provided a fix for it.
