The message came up set course for annihilation and the game would not let me select anything, I tried cancelling to no effect the game at this point became uncontrollable, I could still move the camera about but not select any units except my commander. It initially showed me a view of the whole system but I could see any of planets as they were tiny, tried clicking on every planet no luck. Quitting and reconnecting did not help
I also had this problem after about 4 hours of game play! I couldn't click anything not even the exit button, after you press the escape key. I could move around and select units by using the group hot-key commands and the cursor would change from move to attack and so on when u move the cursor around and even when you clicked it would show the little animation but ultimately nothing would happen and the units wouldn't move. Very frustrating glitch!! here is a screenshot. I could move around from group to group and use the space bar to get a very far view of the solar system
Yea, I have this happen too. Pressing space actually crashes it, for me. I was FINALLY about to beat the hard AI, too.
Just encountered this bug as well. Unable to annihilate. Only escape from frozen UI seems to be hitting F5, but still I had to delete my commander and lose ... I would have win
I quit the game (by hitting windows key and exiting from there) and reconnected and I got control back and was able to do the smash.
Hi, I also just had this problem. Additionally when I managed to exit (end process), restart PA and start a new game I was still stuck in the annihilate UI. So I could not start a new game.
