Generating planets either takes too long or doesn't work at all

I've updated drivers. So have the 2 friends I am playing with. All 3 of us have the same problem: we get stuck at the generating planets screen when starting a game. This occurs both with player-made systems and randomly generated systems. It might be a server issue at the time (attempts were made between 5:00 and 6:00).

Is this a confirmed issue or just an isolated incident? Is anybody else having the issue?

My friend and I were having this same problem earlier. Our games were also not showing up in the lobby for quite a while after a failed generation so we had to stop trying to play.

This is probably because the new lobby has gone back, temporarily, to old method of downloading the map after the match is launched.

I believe there is also a known bug in the UI. We're working on a fix, but for now everyone can try pressing F5 every so often.

I haven't been able to join any online games at all due to this. Disabled/enabled mods, updated drivers etc. Frustrating.

Just wanted to chime in that I also haven't been able to join any games - 4/4 games so far have just hung on the 'generating planets' screen. Restarting the client comes up (sometimes) with a 'you are already in a game' message but I can't rejoin.

The new pre-game system is terrible. You can't see who's in the game until they enter a slot, and it doesn't pre load planets.

When you do get a game to work most of the players have quit because their planets didn't generate.

The ready button needs to be reimplemented and planets need to be generated in the lobby. The green light we had in the upper right or some version of it would probably be useful as well.

I do worry that this is putting off a lot of the new players who just got the game on sale...Please try and get this loading bug fixed as a priority! Still, great update besides these few kinks!

Result = Planet is empty no spawn points or anything else, i can´t see allys and nobody can launch anything to the planet...so its an empty game...
