Are you running though Steam? If yes did you tried non-Steam version (LINK)?

Yes, running through Steam. Game crash occurs immediately on launch. I've followed FAQs, forum instructions from different sites plus Uber Support instructions but still have the same error. I haven't tried through Uberent (your link) because I don't have an activation code. Can I get one from somewhere in steam?
