    Hi,
I've been playing this game for quite some time now, but I have always gotten lag, so, following the advice of many others, I downloaded the non-steam version to see if I would see any framerate improvement. The game installed perfectly, it's downloaded correctly, etc etc, and last night, when I tested it, it worked great. Now, however, it gives this slightly-less-than-helpful error message when I try to login to Ubernet to do things like actually play the game:

    Code:
Error connecting to UberNet: SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is Ok.
Details: error: 14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed
Unknown Error. Please contact us at support@uberent.com
It even displays it in pretty red text for me. Anyways, I did my research, and tried numerous ways of correcting this error (with PA open the entire time because the music is great!), and found exactly one less-than-helpful post on the steam forums for this exact issue, but I wasn't able to find anything else. PA already seems to work when it comes to networking - I used to use the Steam version and it worked OK - but for some reason it refuses to work non-steam now, even though it worked a day ago.

I tried various techniques for for fixing the issue, such as shutting down my antivirus, running PA with and without the launcher, and running with elevated permissions, but nothing works. Is there any way to fix this issue, or do I have to go back to using the Steam version?

Hello I am having the same issue with the error, though I have never had the Steam version. I have however been away from the game for a while and have just ran all the updates. Can you assist please?

It looks like everyone is receiving the same error, through both Steam and the Launcher. We are working to resolve it. I will post an update when it has been resolved.

I am also having this issue, Checking the data in steam doesn't fix anything, neither does uninstalling/reinstalling.

Actually they did renew it and Linux client working fine.

For some reason Windows versions think that new SSL certificate is invalid. :(

No longer required, hotfixed within 61941.
    Here is workaround.
Unpack, then put with replace into /media/nomod

For Steam version you need this directory:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Planetary Annihilation\media\nomod\
    For Non-Steam it's here:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Planetary Annihilation\PA\media\nomod\

    Attached Files:

I don't have error on Linux, so yes this is done for my Windows 7 laptop.
Basically I just exported new CA certificate though Chrome and put it into this file.

I tested it, it's working on Windows7 just fine.
