I'm pretty sure when the arms start lumbering from the 90 degree, the robots will look a little more intimidating . I still think the quad commander skeleton looks a little too light on its 4 feet. Doesn't look or seem heavy at all.

The commanders do look very distinct, kudos on the art.

Pretty interesting preview of what's to come, garat. It is a shame that the complexity for rig building restricts the current commander designs to only four base rigs, but with that in mind, the designs shown are looking pretty neat. Should provide plenty of variation to play with. As for the Theta, it may not be as bulky as it looked in the concept, but it still looks menacing. Probably should be more bothered about the head than I am, but I honestly don't mind it. Keep it up.

You're right, there are some striking similarities there.
I still think the HAL eye is more fitting though.

None of them are custom commanders. Some we can't talk about, some are going to be generally available to everyone.

I as much of a fan of Magikal Steam mechs as the next guy, but it just doesn't really fit in with the rest of the aesthetic to me.

Also watched that video and what really kills it for me is just how all the proportions are identical.

Well, with the same rigs, that is one of the biggest limitations. Proportions can't really go out of whack, or the animations start to look awful.

There is still a fair amount of variation; Comparing the two new raptor-class commanders that were shown, their proportions are quite different.

Apart from the the already known exclusive commanders, one of them is probably going to be the fall-sale commander. Hopefully it isn't the bulky raptor. I think there may be one or two other exclusive coms as well, but I'm not sure.

Note that the sale comms are also going to Kickstarter backers, at least the ones they've announced so far. I expect that to continue at least until release.

Yep. The armoury will be so nice for figuring out this whole mess of coms.
