Theta's face reminds me of somebody, and so will always have a place in my heart

While a lot of time is spent in strat view, I still think close-ups are important and I enjoy taking a closer look on the action. After we get a spectator mode, views like this
will hopefully be more common than they are now.

I was checking on my JSON for some commanders being added to the main build today. Thought it was relevant to the conversation.

You really can see the shared animations there; the shared rigs become jarringly obvious. Oh well... modders will have to do a revamp.

I still really dislike the Alpha Commander

Those stiff arms are a big turn-off for me too, on all of them.

There were also still some broken animations on this test - since been fixed. I was referencing the wrong anim sets.

And yes, it is a limit.

Even the arms? Surely they could have a little more 'life' in them than just the ridged 90° at all times.

I don't think the comparisons to the Iron Giant are really fair/accurate. What the Iron Giant has shows clear purpose and isn't nearly as jutting as on the Theta.

That short raptor commander is really cool.
Noticed that the build arm is on the wrong side for the Theta by the way, unless that was intentional.
The headlights aren't positioned at the eyes on all of them either, but I'm guessing that's just the default position.

I can totally picture Mavor saying "Dude, you should stream that!"

I hope the new UI provides better commander previews.

To me, it more closely resembles an Ork Warboss with a tiny head ATM.
