    woohoo!!!

Seems to be more, multi-window support than a mini-map. Which I'd prefer.

Haven't watched it yet, but will we get hotkeys for opening a camera anchor as a picture in picture? I would want the main camera on whatever is most important, and then I would cycle through camera anchors of other bases for a quick look.

The youtube video appears to be a blank screen, am I missing something? The twitch link in the youtube description works

Black video as well, but I saw it on twitch.

This is the best improvement to the game since ... the alpha was released?

    Multiple planets just became manageable.

Yes, I demo in the video. If you mouse over the PIP, you can Alt+# and it will flip that view to the assigned view. Basically anything you can do in the main view happens in that view if your mouse is over it. I launched a nuke by clicking in the PIP window.

    Will the PIP be resizable?

ok its working for me now, that is really awesome.. I'm guessing this is going to work if you have multiple monitors as well? that would be the most ideal situation for this, I also hope that you will be able to resize the window as well as move it to a position thats not in the way of your view.

Will it be possible to have as many PIP windows as you want or is there a limit?

Can we get multiple of those windows open? I foresee me opening 4 of those, one in each corner of the screen (and if I get a second moniter hooked up, another 4 on top of a secondary main view)

I want 3-4 small ones on the right hand side of my screen, and the main one in the left hand side. I also want to be able to shuffle them, flip a "small one" with the "main big one", or at least move the big one to the small one's position.

So basically like security cameras. Also, I need to order the piece for the graphics card port that lets me hook an HDMI to the spare one, so I can use my TV as the big one, and my computer monitor as all the small ones.

Nothing will make seeing everywhere at once easier than this. So, one window zoomed out to system view to watch over orbital layer, one window on my own base zoomed out so I can see outside edges, one over each enemy base, one on other planets as they are colonized. Set, simple, spectacular.

1 Main view, 1 minimap (customisable) 1 system view.

The one view per enemy base is what makes that less ideal than a minimap. Minimaps give you the capability to change your view to where you need it immediately, whereas pip does not do that unless the camera is already in that locality.

A pure minimap would provide information which could be supplemented by pip, but not replaced by.

    Seems interesting.
I was worried about how minimaps would be handled in it, but to my joyous surprise, you guys pulled it off.

Very nice video Meta. I always find it hard to see the orbital units...would it be possible to make it so that ground and air strat icons dont actually show through satellite textures...? It would make it a lot easier to differentiate
