I have the orbital loader - when I click s.move (what does that mean?) it lowers closer to the ground, but I am unable to "load" any units...is this because it's beta, or because I'm doing it wrong? LOL

    Any help appreciated....

You need to give the load command to the unit you want to load instead of the lander.

    I thought that's what I was doing...

I click the loader to select it, then click the load button...the cursor changes to the load symbol.

Then I click on the unit (left click) but nothing happens....I'll keep playing with it...

Are there only certain units you can load?

No you need to select the unit that you want to load, not select the lander.

You can only load commanders and engineers using the astraeus lander, other units must be moved by sending them through a teleporter (one on each planet.)

Teleporters can be built from orbit by orbital engineers, so this is often a more efficient way of colonising new worlds: it's slightly slower, but allows you to move as many units as you like from one planet to another.

you should be able to right click on a fabber or commander while the lander is selected and it'll work fine.

ShorePatrol, keep the questions coming, the game might be overwhelming in the very beginning, but it is not, once you mastered a few simple things, like Camera Anchor, I also lock the poles in the game settings, so orientation is easier (for me)... and so on. :)

There are also tons of gameplay videos out there on Twitch or Youtube where you might be able to learn a few things about the game. :)

    Enjoy.
