I'll ask to dev to check crash dump. Possible I missed this your post. Sorry, it'a happen sometimes. Also about that: Can you upload log when game running on Nvidia? Just to be sure.
Here is little update on that crash dump and it's explain why I didn't posted answer week ago. Crash you met happen inside Coherent and unfortunately it's can't be properly debugged at moment, but when such possibility appear I'll let you know. Also there is something you can try to do. Go to directory where game installed, open "bin_x86" directory and try to run PA.exe from here. For some players who met related crash 32-bit version works fine. If it's working just patch this (bin_x86/PA.exe) executable with 4GB patch and it's should be playable.

oh i crashes when click play on the launcher then a black screen comes up then a few seconds later it say pa .exe has stop working but the launcher works
but i don't think memory usage is the problem with coherent but it could be the fact that launcher think i have mod installed
Can you please clarify this: is PA.exe from bin_x86 directory crash like that too? I mean exactly bin_x86/PA.exe from non-Steam version of game.
I still believe next update appear soon. When it's happen if game continue to crash can yo upload fresh crash dump?
I''m starting to get this now too... just installed a brand new SSD drive and game will not get past the launcher... Event ID 1000 Application Error I'll add my details.... so now only the 64 bit version crashes and when i run the 32 bit version it crashes when it's generating a solar system
Can you please check what memory usage 32-bit PA.EXE have when it's crashes? I mostly sure that 32-bit crash because "Large Address Aware" flag didn't set correctly so you need to retry 4GB patch.
