Shooting and walking doesn't really count as fighting. Sure it's technically fighting, but doesn't really mean squat. I can kill the commander easily with just T1 bombers because I can product them faster than it can shoot them down.

He walks into your arms in that he walks right out of his base away from his defenses.

And it builds, get bombs dropped on it, so it starts walking again.

If you put an army outside of your opponent's base and bomb the commander, it'll walk right on out away from it's own defensive structures.

The weakness I see the most is the AI will expose it's commander and all you need at that point is a reasonably sized death ball. Set it to attack the commander and it will follow him until he destroys it or blows up himself. Once he has been seen you can also set the rally point of all your factories to attack the commander and then you have a steady stream chasing him down and leveling his base in the process.

I suspect that once the game's balance stops changing Sorian will get to work on the neural net training. Once the foundation of a neural net is running the AI and that neural net can train using every AI game on the server we will see an AI that reaches grand master status pretty quickly.

All Hail to our AI Masters!

Lol, I had to see what this was about with the title and all(I'm going to start using "full patato" now)
I agree here, at first it was kicking my ***(Until yesterday) but now that I know how it plays it is getting easier, of course with the next patch I imagine it will get really hard again.

The AI builds on multiple planets now?! Clearly it's time to give the computers another shot! Good work Sorian

Do you guys remember in TA when a player (say named "Mike") added an AI to the game the Ai would be named AI: Mike? Wouldn't it be neat if the AI totally copied your play style and was like an AI reflection of yourself, copying your strategy? Talk about variable difficulty... That would be cool

I remember the days of SupCom, where the Sorian AI was aggressively getting harder to beat, then as the updates to the AI progressed, it got a lot easier to beat.
Even here in PA, the AI is getting easier to beat, 1 V 1.
@sorian Wondering how possible it would be to have the AI keep learning from match to match? It is a neural net isn't it? So it really just needs to do more learning, as well as the normal updates/bug fixes.

It would certainly add a certain extra level of challenge when Galactic War is introduced, otherwise that game mode, will turn out like Spore, and you just completely dominate too easily the entire galaxy.
