Any chance on clan tags making a return?

Just wondering if there's any chance of clan tags being added back into the game. I thought they were a pretty good thing to have in it. My reason for wanting them is that I have different groups I'm for different games and we use the in game options for clan tags if the game allows it. I prefer it as it means I don't have to keep changing my Steam display name.

The removal of them just makes it a bit more annoying. If I was in one group for multiple games then I'd just use a tag on my Steam name and wouldn't need to use an in game tag for MNC but as it stands I'm in multiple groups and don't really like changing my name for tags all that often.

If they're definitely not going to make a return then that's fine I suppose, just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this. Also, I know it was removed a patch ago but I'm only now able to get friends to buy MNC so it's not been entirely relevant to me until now.

Clan Tags won't be coming back.

It's an xbox needed thing. It's not needed on Steam. Yes, for the select few it's a little cumbersome but it gives us a lot less code to cause bugs and maintain.

Ah np. Thanks for the reply. If it's a hassle to keep bug free then probs best to have it gone from the Steam version. I'll be able to manage fine with changing names on Steam, just wanted to confirm they were gone for good.
