So like many I've gotten the pa.exe has stopped working error. I've looked at multiple threads and nothing. It seems to be something specific for each computer. I have already tried to update both DirectX and my Video driver card .(ATI Radeon HD 5450) Both are "up to date." I've also uninstalled/reinstalled Planetary Annihilation. Not sure what to do now.

Same stuff as the last one :) Pa.exe has stopped working, log referred to something regarding mods foldier that the client cannot access.

    I have.
-Updated AMD GPU drivers to latest 14.1 Beta.
-Checked the sound drivers that they are up to date.
-Checked that i have the latest net.framework installed.
-Tried to launch the game via Steam / Launcher / both Exes (32bit and 64bit)
-Reinstalled DirectX from the link on the common solutions thread.

Here is the Dxdiag, and the latest log. (the logs all seem to be the same)

EDIT: And tell me if you need any additional information, happy to help.

    Can you please do this:
    1. Check this how-to topic:http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/648814845443326834/
    2. Then clean up "log" directory.
    3. Now open directory where non-Steam version installed, run PA.exe from bin_x64 directory.
    4. Now upload both log and crash dump on forum.
I'll ask developer to check it.

Here is the log file and the dmp it pointed me to.
NOTICE that i added the .txt extension to the dmp file, as your forums doesnt seem to accept any other extension files tried it as .dmp and .rar

Thanks. Developer checked it and unfortunately it's problem inside Coherent (external library used for UI) and in current version of game it's can't be debugged.

One more question. Did you actually tried to run "PA.exe" from bin_x86 directory?
Just asking to be sure you tried that because for some players this worked as temporary workaround.

Not sure. My computer resolution has increased a lot and my second monitor is no longer working. But the catalyst install manager is still downloading.

Ah thanks. It's taking a really long time :/ had it on since 7 but then some sort of error occurred so the download was stalled.
Any idea why this is the only game so many people are having specific issues with?

Try to remove existing "ATI/AMD Catalyst" though Windows Control Panel and then re-try installation of latest drivers. Most likely current AMD driver installer can't replace such old drivers properly.

Oh in such old drivers it's most likely called: "ATI Display Driver", "ATI Control Panel".
There is also standard utility you can use for driver removal, but removing though control panel is easier.
