I got a message that said "the driver being installed is not validated for this computer." Are they ever going to fix this issue? I see it everywhere.
It's your laptop manufacturer banned you from installing drivers using installer for no reason. You'll need to install driver manually. Download ZIP version of driver package and install it though Device Manager as explained here: http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-033915.htm
