I am on the fence with PA as well, when I was first told of the game and it's concepts I was extremely thrilled, but the more I find out about it, the less I am liking it.

For one, the graphics/art style just looks awful to me, too cartoonish, now everything I'm saying here is with Beta in mind but I don't think the graphics are going to change much if at all. The second issue I have is lack of diversity (IMO), no factions? everyone has the same units? no shields or stealth? to me it just seems like they are banking way to heavily on the planet to planet concept and while that is an AMAZING idea, to some it is not enough. Not sure if there are customizations at all but did read in forum FAQ that commanders will also be a copy/paste setup in terms of abilities and no upgrades, this also is a big downer for myself. I am hoping I am very wrong and playing the game makes a world of difference or even that the final product will cure enough of what ails me. Just wanted to throw my input out here.

TL;DR Lacking diversity, not a fan of graphics/art style, no commander differentiation other than cosmetic.

So there is a game released on Steam Early Release... it states that everywhere...

Go to Ubers store and you see the price when the game is released, which is $40, not 30 or any other number.

Why would I post the final price for the final retail version when the store front on steam is for early access, I advertise early access, I sell early access, I charge for early access.

Also, I think GPG did all they could, even the patches for Supreme Commander 2 were done by the staff in their spare time, without any funding from SE.

I think Chris Taylor was more worried about his employees and his future and companies future in this situation than worring about a few gamers that have no life.

Feeling insulted that they did not care about FA or FAF in the very end is very cold and unrealistic too (to say it nicely).

I also wonder, when FA is the best game in the world (and I really love it) why come here all the time with that negativity? Don't waste your time here.

Most of your points you mention and don't like were clear from the get go.

The style was given and the game looks really close to me compared to the Kickstarter trailer.
That there will be only one set of units was also stated in the very beginning during Kickstarter.

About the ACUs, no clue, but as far as I know they are not done yet.

So clear for everyone that it's an early access and higher price than retail....

And this matters why?

Because people keep telling me for 6 pages of thread that it's perfectly clear (and honest) for everyone.

This was a simple FB post, I was referring to Steam, go to the Steam store, search for PA and you can only find it with EARLY ACCESS! Early Access? Maybe that means something? This is getting really tiresome and stupid.

I give up. It's now perfectly normal to sell half-baked alpha/beta games full price. Oopsie, more than full price.

Ok, I get it. I hope I won't see anything bad written about DLC or season pass anymore if the same people find this okay.

Try learn to read (no one told that they will put down the price before the released game)

They shouldn't have to say. It should be obvious that a £100 price tag is not indicative of final release price, especially given the "early access" status.
And thanks for insulting me, considering I have been one of the only people so far to read and accept ZePilots statement that the price and any subsequent increase/decrease is not mentioned clearly on the Steam page.

P.S. Anyone who spends £100 on a game without truly thinking about what they are doing, deserves whatever comes to them.

So I was doubtful about closing this thread because of the way I have participated myself, but this discussion is clearly dead and pointless by now. I think we can agree to disagree in this case.
