Hi, just bought the game and I like it, altho there are some problems, bugs and suggestions I'd like to share.

    First of all the framerate. It's playable (around 30fps) but strangely low/medium/high settings don't seem to affect my framerate that much. On high I have about 30fps, when it's busy on screen a little lower, but nonetheless playable, same goes for low and medium, I haven't tried Uber yet. Even when I zoom out all the way on low it's 40fps tops. My specs are;

    Intel core i7 860
    ATi Radeon HD5850 (overclocked)
    6GB RAM 1333

I know it isn't state of the art anymore, so I don't really mind not being able to play it super smoothly on high, but I think it's weird that the framerate remains quite low even with lower settings.

    Here some bugs I've encountered.

1.After about 20 minutes, playing against the AI, my Bot factories didn't produce anything anymore, even though there were bots in queue, I haven't tried building new factories though.

    2. Builders, both bots and flying builders, sometimes get trapped above or "in" another building. Only when I build 2 factories close to eachother and when I didn't set a custom "spawn point" for the vehicles/bots/aircraft I made. They just fly/walk/drive inside or on top of another factory, and circle around or stand still. I can't use them.

    3. Sometimes a nuke doesn't work, I try to shoot it but it just doesn't, only after a couple of tries.

    4. It seems like the laser satellites aren't working properly for me, not attacking anything, but it can be that I just don't understand how they work. I let them hover over enemy buildings or units, and even when they are visible (either by having a radar or having a vehicle nearby, so I can actually see the buildings or units), the laser doesn't shoot.

    5. Sometimes my energy resources skyrocket, it happened to me that I was in green (about 2000 energy in green), and then it dropped to 55000 in red. This might have something to do with laser orbiters, because it was just after I built a couple of those. It might just be me not knowing how things work.

Then here some suggestions. It might be that I just don't know how laser orbiters and nukes work, and that the bugs I mentioned are just my stupidity. It would be nice if there was a tutorial in the game that explains to you how things work. Also the cargo orbiter unit, to get units to another planet, is kind of vague to me. I have no idea how to use it. Appearantly it doens't pick up flying units, but when I pick up a normal unit, I have not a clue how to get it into space. It would be nice if all this was explained in the game itself.

    I hope this helped,

    Thomas.

Are you sure you didn't accidentally set the factory to conserve mode? It's the lightning bolt to the right when something is selected.

    2.
You have to be careful how you place factories atm, ensuring units have enough room to exit.

    3.
Nukes are less than clear, particularly if one is ready and if it fires. If you queue up multiple nukes to build and remember how many there where last time, you'll be able to know when one is ready. The counter will also decrease when the nuke is fired as the next one starts being built.

If the nuke truly doesn't fire, it may be because nukes are currently partly broken. Eg for interplanetary, if planets are not in the same orbit they never fire, but they disappear from factory and you have to build another one.

    4.
Select a laser satellite, and tell it to attack something. It takes a while to get in position, then fires. Just moving it above something may not be enough.

    5.
Resources will yoyo when something expensive like a laser satellite exits the factory when a lot of bots are assisting the factory.

To move an astreus from planet to planet, select it, move the camera to the destination and click move like you would a normal unit. It will figure out a way to get there. This is not how it will work in the finished game (I think it will be shot out of the orbital factory), but it is how it works now.

As for framerate issues, see this thread for some possibilities: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/trees-o.51388/
This is by no means a definitive answer, there's probably lots that could be done to improve framerates.

    Thanks for the reply.

In case of the nuke, I usually just put 1 in que each time, and when it's done I try to launch it. The nuke launcher isn't damaged, but still I have to try to launch it a couple of times before it actually does. Same with the laser, I monitored what it was doing for a while, and when I order it to attack something, it just doesn't, only after a couple of tries.

Trialq done a great job here. The pathing issues and sxx lazer not firing are well documented bugs so I'm sure the devs know about them.

That's really decent performance for a 5850. More performance improvements are ongoing.
