wouldn't it be cool to have a mobile nuke launcher? a platform with treads, would allow that. factories and turrets, wouldn't be allowed. nor would units, but nukes other assorted buildings( you come up with what is viable and what is not.) would be able to fit. Barges could be the naval version, finally allowing nukes to be built on water. these things would be very slow, (think Sheller speed, but could take lots of hits, and would even have a protective slot for whatever is on top. what do you think?
I guess this is unrelated, but space platforms would be pretty cool. You could build missiles bases that could help with planetary invasions. you could orbital factories in space. you could maybe even put a unit cannon up there for invasions as well. And to balance it out you could build orbital level defenses.
I could see flying platforms being a prohibitively expensive way to get air units on a gas giant, but we don't know enough about those yet. It might be simpler to let air fabbers build auto-corrected variant buildings there, much like naval works now.
He's talking mobile platforms. You know, those trucks with a missile on the back. They're usually for short-medium range missiles, they bring the truck closer to the country they want hit and launch it from a truck.
