Feedback of over about 20 hours of play with 2 friends over past month.

    Hello everyone,

    A couple friends and I have been playing the beta here and there since the last patch and this is a list of stuff we've compiled. We tried to avoid OBVIOUS issues that are probably going to get fixed at some point. I've read the forums the past few days and looked at the stickies. Sorry if I missed something that was already brought up:

    1.) Display idle engineers count on UI, organized by tech tier, like in Supcom.

    2.) A hotkey that switches to orbital only interaction for units and lists orbital units and their count for quick selection. Currently, it is a little bit difficult to select orbital units and command them when there are other units on the planet underneath.

    3.) If you assign a nuke launcher to a group and want to select it and nuke a position, give us an indication of whether the nuke launcher has a ready nuke or not without us having to go back and look at it.

    4.) Icons need to be clearer to differentiate between builder/land fighter/aa/etc. Somehow this is more of an issue than in Supcom.

    5.) Camera tilt would be nice. Hold a button and tilt the camera to find a launch platform in a base for example, release button, return to top down. Like an elastic camera while you hold a button.

    6.) Fix the mouse buttons. Why does mouse 4 and mouse 5 act as a left click in the game? These are very popular teamspeak/ventrilo push-to-talk keys and a strange choice to duplicate primary-click functions. I’ve been playing games for 15 years and I have no idea who thought this was a good idea.

    7.) Dropdown color swatch for picking primary and secondary colors in game lobby and let us change the color of the AI team.

    8.) Nukes need an area of influence icon like they have in supcom. That way you know the effective range of the nuclear explosion. Same effect would be prefered for the accuracy AOE of an artillery unit.

    9.) Planet views would help if they had indications of who has what on them. Like the system view in Sins of a Solar Empire. Small UI off on the side somewhere giving a little bit more detail about planets. Obviously make it collapsable and anchorable.

    9b.) Have an option to anchor the system view planet UI. the one that shows planets/moons and the number of halley's and all that. This is related to the request immediately above. For those of us who have high screen real-estate, these small UI changes would help a lot.

    10.) When selecting engineers/workers/fabricators, the UI for the list of buildings available to build should be improved. For example, just add very small dividers or ticks or something so its easier to locate sections of buildings. It still takes me about two seconds (one second too long) to locate a land factory in that list of buildings.

    11.) Orbital laser platforms continue attacking targets after vision disappears, as long as they were originally selected to attack while vision was active.

    #1 seems like there should at least be a mod out for it already, but it appears there isn't. One of the only things I miss from Starcraft, and this one is even harder because there are so many more units on the map.

    These are all really good, but I'm 99% sure 5 is already a feature.

    There a bit different behavior explained, but it's same problem.

    It is. It's just broken in current patch. Uber said they were working on fixing that.
