I relay enjoy PA, but the fps is a little disappointing. In my effort to get better frames I seem to have found a bug. Fps is significantly effected by the UI.

    Observations:

    - mousing over a unit drops about 30 frames

    - any drain / fill of economy bars drops about 30 frames

    - disabling UI gives about + 10 frames (even though you cant see it its still updating)

basically whenever the CPU usage of the UI spikes the frame rate tanks. I have observed this in task manager while mousing over a unit CPU usage increases from 0.2 % to about 7% killing fps.

What i meant to say (above) was that I have the exact same problem. If my economy bars are moving at all, FPS drops massively.

And this is why im wonder how well modding will work out being that its all going to be done within the ui system...

I think to solve this problem we should remove the UI.

wait a minute isn't the UI built with html and java script; no wonder the UI is so slow. C++ is about 2x as fast, but then modding would be more difficult, so there is a trade off.
