That's about 12:30 PST Jan 4 2014 FYI: Twitch automatically tweets when I stream @AdamJOverton http://www.twitch.tv/Metabolical I've asked ZaphodX to walk me through installing mods and go through some of his favs. Nick also described to me the glory of area patrol and area assist so I want to try that out.
We've got... Hiiiigh hopes! We've got... Hiiigh hopes.... We've got... Hiiigh apple piiiie in the.... skyyyy hopes! Also, I never thought of area assist. Would have been useful in a recent game. Having 4 bots all repairing everything in bulk, is a lot better than one each repairing a single item. WAit, was I late?
Lol, I think we were late. I just jumped on, scoured the screen, and got all hyped up for nothing. Still caught it, but I am nearly sure it is super really late.
omg, the way that the shadow's darkness creeps over the surface :O that looks BRILLIANT. look at 7min into the video
Some notes about mods and the mod manager, plus other things that came up during the videos: Part 1 4:26 - @metabolical : You installed PAMM at c:\Program Files\Planetary Annihilation\ (it just defaults to that path) 7:08 - New PA Launcher? 9:09 - That "true" dialog box was a debug message that shouldn't have been left in (Expect v3.0.4 of PAMM soon out now ) 12:20 - @zaphodx : If you're still using the old version of PAMM (2.x.x) you have a different (no longer updated) list of mods, as the new version of PAMM uses the new modding system. The old version of PAMM does not update to the new version automatically due to it no longer supporting the old mod system. Highly recommend updating! 40:30 - Regarding F5 and reloading mods in-game, F5 will only re-load files that are already shadowed. If you have installed additional mods since you last re-started PA, it will not pick them up. I am not certain if this is only entirely new mods, or if it includes new files in existing mods. This is why Commander Health Display and Hotbuild 2 didn't load (PA stats loaded because it's actually not installed locally but run from an external URL - the only file that changed was ui_mod_list.js, which was already shadowed, hence re-loaded when F5 was pressed). 43:30 - The Installed Mods List isn't yet available in v3.0.3 of PAMM. Installed Mods List now available for PAMM v3.x.x Part 2 8:10 - Commander HP window offscreen - is this still an issue? I thought I had fixed that
Part 2 31 min arrow down in hotbuild settings : will look to fix Very interesting to see you setting up things for the first time. Hotbuild UI can definitely improve I know. Ideas are always welcome. Hopefully you will incorporate some of these ideas in the final game in some form. Feel free to steal or improve hotbuild2 If you guys have any questions on the code I'll happily respond why it's done this or that way.
