PA.exe has stopped working.

Just got the game yesterday and since installation im getting this error message:
PA.exe has stopped working.

So basically I Cant start the game
I got the latest drivers for all my hardware. verified the game cache, installed latest drivers from nvidia and intel, redownloading, etc...



I would gladly accept a refund, or some help.

Issues was caused by Steam version crash.

I'm still having this problem on the non-steam version on Windows 8.1. I seem to be getting a "The thread tried to read or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access" exception. While installing/updating I get an "Upload incomplete. Verify files" error, but will pass the verify check.

Game is crash for you because by default it's using integrated Intel HD4000 graphics card and it's have outdated drivers:

You won't use it for PA, but update drivers anyway.
Download and install "Win64_15338.exe" from Intel website:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3712&DwnldID=23405

Then configure your drivers to run "bin_x64/PA.exe" on high performance Nvidia graphics card.

If you running game though Steam then by default executable you need located here:
C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Planetary Annihilation\bin_x64\PA.exe

I´m having the same Problem. Just downloaded the game. And after 2 Minutes of Black Screen after launching the game. PA.exe stops working. I´ve updated Drivers and checked the Firewall.

Make sure path to game installation directory don't contain any non-English characters.

I updated my drivers like you said, and still it fails to launch. What else could it be?

I am having this same issue, "pa.exe has stopped working".

Your Graphics Drives are from 2010, try updating those first.

I recently wiped my comp and used a driver updating program to fix my issues, but it seems to be using outdated material. Any suggestions, Dell is garbage when it comes to support and I am having a terrible time finding the answers online.

Well your Card is an ATI card, so doing a Google search for "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 560v Drivers" is likely to be a solid start.
