    I ran into this and thought it was a linux-specific thing.
    Once I hit reset option to default it was just a matter of narrowing down the specific option.

    Doesn't change the fact that the last patch enabled it by default :(

    might be worth some form of sticky/rename this thread title to make it clear it is the cini option

    I'm having this issue on Mac and getting the no unit icons issue. Just checked and cinematic mode is not turned on. Really makes the game hard!

    The no icon issue is a common one for several platforms.

    Restart the game and the icons should come back.

    Route lines would be a lie. The focus paths show the units (target/goal/focus). They don't show how the unit will reach that goal. However, the name evidently confusing.
