I am really really looking forward to the notification system. It's going to be extremely helpful for players, especially when combat starts raging on multiple planets more and more.

It would be really nice if the new notification system was tied in with the ChronoCam.

Something to the tune of, shift+click on the notification and the chrono cam will rewind to five seconds before the notification and go to the location.

This'll be especially helpful for when things get destroyed.

Say you have a lone metal extractor that gets destroyed on the backside of your base. You click on the notification to see what happened, but the fog of war already has shrouded over that area so you have no clue what happened other than the metal extractor is gone.

However, if I get a notification that metal extractor was destroyed and then I shift click on the notification and can now see what is shooting at that metal extractor before it goes pop. I now know that there's a large army of Ants coming in an have to deal with it.

This integration of the ChronoCam will make this amazing mechanic much more viable and much easier to use. I remember during the Kickstarter days, someone on a live stream was talking about the ChronoCam and talking about the classic scenario of losing something and not knowing what happened to that structure. When that Uber employee talked about how we could use the ChronoCam to rewind and see what happened I blew my lid. That was the coolest feature ever and I was super excited about it. This shift+click to rewind to the notification allows players to use the ChronoCam for exactly what it was intended for with much greater ease.

    At any rate.

    Thoughts?
