Hello, I couldn't find anything useful on this problem via the search, so I'm opening a new thread. When I try to download the game using the Uber Launcher, it will download only a few files, then nothing at all for several minutes up to hours. Now and then it'll download with 3 or 4 MB/s, sometimes only for a split second, sometimes for several seconds, only for the dl speed to break down to nothing again. This continues until either the client says "Download incomplete. Please verify files" or runtime errors (Value is too high (101). value needs to be between minimum and maximum." or the divide-by-0 error or another error, which I forgot. I tried to re-install the launcher (cleaning the registry, too), but nothing changed.
are you able to post your DxDiag.txt start>run>DxDiag Click save all information.. Upload that text file here
hmmm Do you have Firewall, internet security, or virus scanner installed?? I will call in some other people good with network issues they may be able to help suggest good ideas , im mainly good with client crash issues (your system is up to date, "Drivers and all" so when game does download it should run fine no crashes
Yes, I use GData, which provides also a firewall. I gave the launcher the permission to connect directly to the internet, so that shouldn't be the problem...
maybe just as a test could you temporarily disable GData to see if that helps.. if it doesn't then turn back on..
Hmmm, I will need to find someone with better ideas for fixing this issue for you.. I personally not sure why your having download issue.. Only thing left that i can think of is.. Bad internet connection/ping Maybe your surfing through Proxy server and having issue there.. But really I'm not 100% sure here.. Hopefully someone with better knowledge of this kind of issue will be able to post things for you to try here soon
Both things you mention aren't applicable (I don't use proxys and I have a 100 Mbit connection ^^ Thanks for your help so far, I'll have to wait for someone with better knowledge for now
I'm having the same issue. PA Launcher gave the same error, but when I try to verify files it gets to about 60% then the launcher flickers and it just stops. 1. I don't see an uninstall to try and reinstall so on windows 8 how would I do that? Just delete the folder? Also attached my DxDiag, since that seems to be in all the support posts. Oh and I searched for "verify files" when trying to find a related bug/issue.
Just keep trying by pressing verify files. Or If it fails close the launcher and reload the launcher using the Run as Administrator setting. Launcher supports resuming the game download. If it fails at 60% it will only download the missing 40% next launch instead redownloading everything.
Ok, I set it to run as administrator. It gives me the option to play and I can (sort of), but the verification still flickers out at 66%. It doesn't look like it is trying to download more files or anything. Is there a log file or something so I can check why it just stops without warning or a message or anything? Is it just missing files to download? Is there anyway I can force it to re-download everything? Do I even need to do that? And for the sort of part of it letting me play, I can login and play matches, but a lot of the units show up as placeholder units. Also when I try to join a game sometimes my memory used will just start rapidly climbing, I've seen it jump to over 6GB where normally it sits around 2GB or less.
