We've recently been experimenting with the system editor, and creating some interesting maps. Problem is that they load in the preview build, but don't actually launch with these specs server side. Is there anyway for us to get around this? They basically end up in similar looking planets, but normal spheres. This may be because of a height range restriction server side.
I've seen people post this bug before. Couldn't find it with a search though. You should post this to the tracker: http://pa.lennardf1989.com/Tracker/
I was wondering if oddly-shaped planets were going to be a thing in this game.. Betting modders will be all over it, but I think fighting on a giant space doughnut would be interesting.
We were actually able to play on the small maps 30m radius, just fine. And I did get the water cube world to work. What ended up happening, is the planet spawned round with lots of water. But the terrain under the water was still ridiculously warped, so we kept popping up and going back under the water in a way that was totally un-spherical and had definitional had sharp edges. BUT IT WAS PLAYABLE!!
It's a rendering error, they load the maps as cubes with 6 playing fields and then distort them into the shape of a sphere. This is a great though, I hope there's a way to play like this in the game
