City's on earth planets ??

    Im a modder not in PA but on rampage team and on UT portuguese clan.

    I work on 3d studio

    You right , and one thing i happy its Uber give us the was modding option, make separete server to use both.

    Are you think in use decals,props and layers.

    The use off UV Unwrapping its very usefull.

    I haven't gotten to texturing yet..
    i have uv map already just needs painting.
    what i'm currently doing is export one of each building just 1 house and of the the 4 or 5 different size shape skyscrapers ,
    texture them all individually,
    Then for me to make group out of the models like PA does,
    i add bone in each object file, then group file is group of bones that call models making final brush.
    If i make it correctly i can use that in planet.json :)

    I sort of had monopoly houses and hotels in mind when i made the concept :)

    this is totally viable, something bad must have happened to whip out the human race, there for our creation would be left in the world long after we have gone.

    Max, what would be really epic if the buildings where over come with vegetation and vines in such, and some of them were damaged or falling apart.

    I like it. Fighting among half-wrecked buildings, which also demands completely different tactics than open-field warfare. Could be a good position for a disadvantaged player to turn things around a bit.

    I don't like the ideas of there being tiny little piqueresque contemporary houses. When you give them like angled roofs and chimneys it kind of loses i little of games overall aesthetic. I prefer the idea of there being metal and kind of brutalist or modern looking buildings (if anyone is familiar with architecture), but I LOVE the ancient and serene ruins idea on jungle planets. The buidlings should be reclaimable or interactable as well, and more than just background features. Maybe even old energy plants or mexes that can be recaptured? Maybe you can find some kind of special neutral exclusive weapons or economy boosters on metal planets.

    i can't edit the pole once posted , i fogot to add that it's an important option.
    Maybe add + for skyscrapers and houses but in post's state only skyscrapers like you have :)

    i love the idea because, right now we don't have any sort of feature in the maps to give some one a tactical advantage.

    like canyons, choke points, and so on.

    neat idea to say the least ... but i think it would be dificult to get them in with the procedial generation without looking out of place ... and a more futuristic artstyle like domes or more angular structures would better imo as for ruins either simply with holes and rifts and/or overgrown with vegetation ...

    metalplanets are bases/cities themselfes why should there be cities on top of them?

    could become difficult with navigation and overview
    citybuildings would have to be far apart...
