    I think just adding an adv AA tower that gets more coverage than the basic one is good enough...But I also think taking away their micro abilities would help or giving them a bombing recharge time..You can literally use 8 of them & by microing them and clicking back and forth destroy an entire base pretty fast if you stay away from AA.
    Dont nerf it too much bc I love taking out Nukes/orbital w/hornets!!! lol

    I agree. Advanced AA flack would probably be the best and most effective fix.

    While the ability to sit above a target with micro and spam bombs is obviously a little silly.

    Why are ground based AA weapons worse then fighter craft weapons?

    I do agree with this. Fighters are better than AA, while Laser Defense towers are better than Ants. It's backwards.

    Anti air towers should be strengthened and adjusted to shoot at air only.

    That is very good to hear.

    Flack would be a near instantaneous fix to fighter/Hornet spam.

    I would also very much like to see an advanced (T2?) Anti-air only tower that shoots flak and possibly an additional (T2) anti-air only vehicle and/or bot. This would probably solve the issue of fighter swarming and Hornet balance issues without nerfing the Hornet. Its large AOE bombs and damage level seem very appropriate for a T2 heavy bomber but without an effective countermeasure they end up being the easy game winner especially when there is no effect/building/sheild in PA that can be used to hide or temporarily protect the commander from a game ending Hornet snipe.

    However it is also very nice to have the option of building missile towers at T1 that can shoot at both land and air even if in the long game (T2) they aren't very effective at either. At game start, they are both buildable by the commander and a useful tool in general base protection from raider units of any type. I would not want to see them replaced with a more powerful air only version rather keep them and add a T2 Air only Flak tower.

    why remove the single most effective counter ??? I've seen the deadly effect of t2 bombers and make it a point to have at least one t2 air factory building fighters.

    Not to break balls but if you scout more you would see their cheese attempts coming and make an effective counter

    It's less of a counter and more a counter to the counter. Peregrines shred Hummingbirds, which is what most players are stuck with when dealing with spam.

    Proper fuel requirements and landing pads making air require a forward position to do a consistent siege. Otherwise its one or two passes and back to base.

    Wish people weren't so against proper logistics for the air layer. The depth of gameplay and balancing options this opens is huge. But unfortunately, people cry when their planes cant fly forever.

    I think it doesn't need a nerf. A fuel system or just epic T2 AA would do the job fine.

    There won't be a fuel system. This has been known since the Kickstarter. Instead aircraft have an ammo system, which is also tied into other units and structures.

    Look, I would completely agree with you here, in that brianpurkiss did not post a constructive thread by giving statistically specific examples as to why hornets are OP - but its way past that. This is something fundamental that is wrong with the game that brian is pointing out, and its quite obvious. Believe me, I have been on PS2's forums for a while now, and this sort of NERFITCUZITKILLEDME threads are an everyday thing there.

    BP's OP just isnt in that category. No offense to you sir, I appreciate your bringing this up; it needs to be mentioned every now and again to remind people to just suck it up sometimes :)

    On Topic:

    I have used 2-3 hornets to hold off entire armies of levelers EASILY. I had a failing econ, bad map control, and I was losing ground, until I starting using those T2 Bombers. I actually almost won, it was that ridiculous. To his credit, Kryo never used them against me in that game lol.

    And, I have lost 8/10 of the last games to T2 Bombers. Seems fishy.
