I've been unable to launch the game on my PC. i7-4470k, Win8.1-64bit, 32GB ram all drivers updated. Windows just says pa.exe has stopped working and asks if I want to close it. I'm including a copy of my DX diagnostic Tried to run as administrator, both from the launcher and direct from the file in the PA directory with the same results. Thanks for any help you can suggest. Can you please say is it one video card, or multiple video cards in SLI? Also can you please open this directory: C:\Users\YOUR_WINDOWS_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\log\ And upload few log files from here on forum? Thanks.
The system has a single video card installed, A GeForce GTX 760 The log file is below. Only error that I see is that the mod file doesn't exist. Should I create a blank one? what extension? Thanks, ATinkerer
No the mod thing is just saying you have no community mods installed. It appears you have encountered the Coherant UI crash issue, SXX my have some good suggestions to try to fix this. I'm only good at finding people drivers and stuff if their drivers are out of date or fixing common issues I remember seeing this issue on a similar nVidia card somewhere but i can't recall which thread it was in, i will see if i can find it for you, the answer maybe there.
