Game Crashes when I hit Play

A quick black screen and then "pa.exe has stopped working". I've already updated video and audio drivers today. Attached is the DxDiag file.

Any help would be great.

Try reinstalling DirectX that could be the issue:

Just to verify how much of VRAM does your graphics card? You need it least one gig of VRAM more is preferable. (i.e. 2 - 4 gig) Also seen some issues with professional graphic cards that could also be causing the problem. Hopefully this works.

Don't see why it's can crash yet, but can you please do that. Open this directory:
C:\Users\ YOUR_WINDOWS_USERNAME \AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\log\
And upload *.txt log files from here on forum.

Wow a FirePro series chipset, cool.. lol
Its about half the rendering power of my Intel HD 4000 chipset.
It supports openGL 4.1 but i don't think it has the GPU power required to run the game.

Trust me PA can launch on more low powered GPU than this one.
And obviously it's shouldn't crash on start.

Obviously this graphics card wouldnt be my first choice, but like you said I wouldn't think it would crash the game. Let me know your thoughts.

Game is crashing not long after Coherant UI loads,

I uploaded that file. It wouldn't let me attach a .dmp file so i changed the extension to .txt.

I poked a developer, hopefully they may be able to find the issue or offer advice/assistance

Yes, UberGaf kindly checked why exactly PA crashed. Your crash occur when game trying to load some content (fonts actually).

Can you please do that:

1. Open directory where PA installed:
   C:\Program Files (x86)\Planetary Annihilation\PA\
   
2. Open "media/fonts/" subdirectory.
3. Check if those 3 files found it this directory:
   DejaVuSans.ttf
   DejaVuSansMono.ttf
   DejaVuSerif.ttf

Please post here if you find them or not.

Also please try to verify files with launcher and if this not help please do that:

1. Open this directory:
   C:\Program Files (x86)\
   
2. Then try to copy/move "Planetary Annihilation" directory from here on your Desktop.
3. Try to open directory and run launcher from your desktop, then run game.

It's just simple test if problem that you met related to permissions on "Program Files (x86)".
