Hi! I'm not sure this is the right place to post, but I'm sure I'll be told if it isn't. I received access to the PA beta today, but cannot play. I installed the launcher, clicked "Verify Files" and then "Play." I received the following message: "The program can't start because d3dx9_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." I re-installed. When I went to verify the files, I noticed that verification appeared to stop around 62%. Up until that point, I could easily track the verification percent complete. It's difficult to tell if the verification process is crashing or the completion bar is inconsistent with respect to time. Anyrate, what do I do next?
I did a search through the forum and found similar problems. I followed some advice and updated DirectX. I no longer receive the message, but the game still does not start. No all I get is "pa.exe has stopped working" Windows then closes the program. The file verification characteristics have not changed. I am using Windows 7.
I am sure SXX will be here soon to tell you to upload you dxdiag text file. When he does, follow his signature. Post that file here. Someone can tell if your computer can run the game, and if so what is wrong that you need to fix. I got that before I upgraded my computer because that wasn't happening with integrated graphics. If your computer is plenty strong enough, it might be needing updated drivers, both video and audio, it might need .net or directx, it might need something else, it might need amends to the game files.

Also, that SXX guy posted in that thread. Post your dxdiag.txt there, or post it here, or even Private Message him. But yeah, drivers, directx, .net.
Download DirectX 9 setup from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 When you download it, run directx_Jun2010_redist.exe, unpack it to accessible place. Then open directory where it's unpacked, find and run DXSETUP.exe
Upload a Dxdiag.txt to your next reply so we can help you further. to do this hit ÿ then "dxdiag", ↩ let the program run, allow the progress bar to finish hit "Save All Information..." upload it as a .txt attachment. DON'T paste it and considering your error we already know it's caused by lack of the latest driver, R331 for nvidia and somethin somethin for ati.
your video card drivers are way out of date. We may need to find you a legacy driver that is new enough to play the game. if you can find an updated driver on the AMD/ATI site it would be good for your situation. Finding up to date drivers for mobile chipsets can be a pain, i will see if i can find an ATI driver that will work for you if you can't.
It should be capable of running the game, its playable on the desktop HD4300's Just finding a driver that is up to date for the mobile chipset will be a big pain in the backside
As maxpowerz said you need to update your drivers: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy2&os=Windows 7 - 64 But for DLL issue you need install DirectX 9 as I explained.
don't expect it to run worth a dam on a mobile 4300 though, that is a weak card, and old too. it'll run sure, but probably only on low settings.
