Not sure if this is the right place to post a technical support question but I've already updated my graphic card drivers as well as .net 4.5 and DirectX, I also made sure my OS (Windows 7) was up to date but the crash still persists.

    The DXdiag is attached.

Two things your drivers is out of date. There's a bug in your generation of cards.

    Driver Date/Size: 11/16/2012 14:49:04

    Link for new driver:

Follow the instructions in this quote to work around the driver issue.

I had just updated my graphic card drivers last night to Catalyst 13.9 , but I just checked my Catalyst Control Center and sure enough it is showing I still have the old version installed (13.1 with an old graphics driver as well). So I'm guessing it did not install properly. So hopefully that is the problem.

I'll also do that edit to the shaders file.

Thanks for your assistance, I'll report back whether it works or not.

I just did the edit to textured_cross_impostor.fs and I can now load in without a problem. Thanks for your help!

There is actually bug in AMD legacy drivers installer.

You need to remove exist version of Catalyst though Windows Control Panel and then re-try installation of latest drivers. Then you'll get actually latest drivers from April of 2013

Sure, I'll upload my modified version. I used the search tool "Everything" by voidtools, to find it (it's free too). Probably one of the fastest disk searching programs I've used. I'm guessing normal search would have worked as well though.

edit:changing the .txt file I originally uploaded to an archive containing the correct .fs file. Just unzip and drop in and it should work.

edit 2:Added a README containing installation instructions as well as Varrak's manual fix instructions.
