We all know that there is only one skybox for the galaxy " behind our planets". I think it would be neat to see a set of random or selectible skyboxs for custom maps and system generated ones. Even though we will play on the same biomes for planets, why not have them appear in a different galaxy?
Nice one. There are some amazing back grounds. For exampel you could have this giant nebula in exotic colors in the background.
Great idea! I have some experience making skybox textures, it would be nice to have a few stock ones to choose from.
Yeah, good idea. I'd also like the one we have now to be much darker - it's more blue than black at the moment. I can't imagine it'd take a huge amount of time for one of the art guys to design a few skyboxes: just five or so would be enough to spice up the look of the game considerably.

This seems like an amazing idea. The only problem that I could see is that I would be the idiot that would lose cause I'm gawking at the sky.
