Honestly, I think a lot of this could be accomplished with only a few small pieces.

    1. Persistent paths. Essentially, allow us to create an order queue that exists independent of a unit, and then allow us to assign units to follow that queue.

    2. Add a queue-able Gather/assume formation command. Combined with the previous feature, this would allow you to set up moderately intelligent attack plans for yourself. It still wouldn't take the place of actually micromanaging an attack, but it would make it much easier to keep up a series of moderate attacks designed to keep pressure on your opponent.

    3. Building templates - They don't even have to be whole bases. Just being able to order a block of 9 T1 energy generators with 2-3 clicks instead of 9 while holding shift would be a plus.

One other thing that would be handy would be some kind of raiding area order. The way I imagine it would be that you would select a group of units, and then indicate an area of the map, and the group would semi-intelligently split up and maraud around the area and kill whatever they find.
