Hey all, I just bought Planetary Annihilation! Yeah! Now I think I have a quite challenging setup. I'm on Archlinux (x64) on a Thinkpad T530 with a dedicated Nvidia graphics card. For now I disabled the Nvidia card in BIOS so I'm running on the Intel HD-I-don't-know. I tried to make a screenshot but the cursor is not displayed in the resulting picture. Most of the time I only have a square box of random colors instead of a cursor. Also sometimes when I start up the game I have hissing noises coming from my speakers. Despite these problems I was able to play. Is there a better way to report bugs? I'd be happy to contribute in this way. Regards Felix
It's FOSS drivers glitch, check FS#1595 It's might be fixed using, check second workaround in this post: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/linux-foss-drivers-issues-and-fixes.51007/#post-779846 You also will be interested to check shader fix in this post: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/linux-foss-drivers-issues-and-fixes.51007/page-3#post-802318 It's will bring back trees/rocks/etc. Yes, community bugtracker is here: http://pa.lennardf1989.com/Tracker/ But please notice that most bugs are already reported, so try to find them before creating new task. PS: Also please take a look at other topics in Mac/Linux subforum: https://forums.uberent.com/forums/mac-and-linux-getting-started.73/ Most of problems and fixes are posted here.
Hi, I just bought the pre-release to try the game out on Linux, unfortunately I do not have permission to see the threads you have linked to the workarounds. Thanks much, and great remake of a classic.
