    Oh come on, it was just typical EA money grab riddled with micropayments. Noone should shed a tear after this game.

    We can shed a tear or two for the fun game it could have been. It is not like there's an abundance of RTS titles right now.

    it's not the dev's fault EA turned it into sh it. remember C&C is many people's childhood.

    And it still can be in modern days, as some of the ideas these games got are still brilliant.

    Plants vs Zombies 2 is pretty good, so not all EA F2P is fail.
    And remember, SimCity? That wasn't F2P, and that suuuuucks... (oh god, why did I buy it?...)

    F2P is the best model for EA games, to be honest. That way you don't have to spend any money to find out how crap it is.

    There's plenty of things EA screwed. I never said F2P is the only way EA can fail ;)

    why not? if you have orbital radar and adv statelite on every planet, what's to stop you from seeing them all?

    Bandwidth between server and you? (Everything has to come from the server unlike other RTS games) Especially if the server is run from a user without good upload speed.

    No. We do not want a pay-to-win game! The whole idea of RTS is that it is your skills against the other player's. Introduce money into that and it loses the fun of the best player wins and becomes the richest player wins.

    If i hadn't recently rolled a ton of cash into my business i would have happily backed PA with a 5 digit figure!

    Forgot to add,
    By my calculations on the kickstarter page, someone maybe rolled a 6 digit figure into the game.
    I guess someone really wanted to see Galactic War make it into release.. lol
