i asked garat to look over the thread. this was his reply. maybe sound card driver need updating or something software is causing the issue.
I just have an antivirus, i haven't thought about it, but i might just try deactivating it temporarily to see if it works without it, and this antivirus is Trend Micro Titanium. Edit : Still doesn't work.
Okay first few questions. Did PA ever work for you? Do you have one graphics card or SLI? Also try to do that: Open directory where PA installed and then try to run PA.exe and then PA.exe from bin_x86 directory. Try to run PA.exe as administrator. Try to remove game settings directory: C:\Users\Florent\AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\ Then try to run PA again. Post here if any of these will work.
PA never worked, and i have only one graphic card. None of these works, and i never had a similar issue in any other game. Strangely, even when using the x86 version, CoherentUI64.dll is used, instead of the 32-bits version (CoherentUI.dll) (Or at least, the fault module is CoherentUI64.dll)
I have the same problem, When i start the game all that happends is pa.exe has stopped working, it has never worked for me i bought the game today. I have tried updating the drivers, i asked a friend that works with game programing to do a crash report and he couldnt find anything. i have the directx and crash report linked. I have the minimum requierments for the game and i really want it to work. can you please attach A copy of your DxDiag.txt And a copy of your most recent log file too. C:\Users\"YourUserName"\AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\log\PA-00-00-00.000.txt "Click sort by date so the most recent one is at the top, upload as attachment." it will help me or another person find any issues.

not much help in that file, i will need the DxDiag.txt. can you save the DxDiag.txt and upload that one too, it will tell me more about your drivers and system, the copy and paste you did in your first post cut a lot of info's out
Driver Date/Size: 1/16/2010 01:02:20, 9628776 bytes dxdiag file tells me your laptop video card drivers are 3 years old. thats the big issue give me few minutes to see if i can find one for you to help laptops are pain in bum to update video card drivers on sometimes..

No worries mate i had same issue when i first got the game and if SXX hadn't have helped me i would be in same situation. im using a tablet pc , and they are a pain to get up to date drivers for. im happy i have helped you feels good this end too knowing you get to enjoy the game too. one thing, there are server issues, about 40 mins into a game it may kick you out, dev's are furiously working on this issue this isn't your pc its ubers servers.
