For Backers Only: AI building stuff

    I'm looking forward to getting some single-player team game action. Supreme Commander 2, following the overmind (overlord?) update featured the best team AI in an RTS bar none. I want to see how it can be made to be a good team player on the human side too.

    I also hope that AI will eventually be able to play a shared resource game alongside a human, not only against them.

    I'd prefer Sorian didn't waste his time implementing half-baked throwaway features, and I'm pretty sure Uber have no plans to.

    Any chance to get the possibility to change the AI commanders too? I'm getting tired shooting over hundreds of Alpha Commanders down xD

    This shouldn't be a hard task right :p

    Players can do the same thing.

    Once this gets fixed so players can't do it, the AI wont be able to either.

    Not that this is a problem but, any reason why the AI builds there base in a straight long line? Just curious.

    A couple of things I'm sure are on the list, but whatever :p

    1. The AI doesn't build enough fabbers. You only need to look at the build order threads or videos of gameplay to see how important fabbers are and that they never seem to move in less than pairs.

    2. The AI doesn't use its commander aggressively enough. I raise this especially because it was also an issue in SUPCOM2 where you had a period of the Aeon super commander. The AI needs to use its commander to establish territory and be a threat in the tier 1 phase, and use fabbers to give him the staying power necessary to accomplish this.

    One of the things I used to despise about Supcom AI was their relentless tides of engineer spam.

    I want the AI to play to win and right now winning means lots of fabbers.

    AI: GET there now!!!!

    You better be employed for the next 2 years at least!!!

    The problems here are complicated!!

    Rules ? or more complicated ideas on AI?
