    why not make it a planetary assault station that you launch from your own planet and it lands on the enemies planet. Then its has a factory plus defences and repairarms and stuff. would be awesome! like a drop-of-destruction!

    I would like to see the repeat button, like in supreme Commander, available in the factories. I also like the idea of a carrier or some type of ship with drones that will automatically replenish when destroyed. Replenishing the drones would of course cost energy and metal. Alternatively if the carriers had a repeat button and would constantly build aircraft like on supreme commander 2 I would be equally pleased.
    I would like to see an orbital bomber. The bomb would be doped strait down from the space station and would explode in the sky and send micro bombs over a wide area doing light damage to a wide area. This would be potentially useful against ground armies as a way of softening them up and even destroying them if not countered.
    A smaller idea is making the wall stackable so that you could build a wall section on top of another wall section. up to three of four wall segments high. You might also be able to build turrets on top of the walls allowing you to protect your base more effectively. This could put more usefulness in the walls without making them over powered. Artillery would be able to shoot over the walls of course.

    I wanna see heavy AOE tanks. Something along the lines of a zero-k Banisher: http://zero-k.info/Static/UnitGuide#unit-Banisher

    In short - a fragile anti-raider tank, that crushes units that clump up too much, but is too fragile and doesn't have enough single target DPS to battle it out against heavys.

    Also, I would love to have levelers and ants with a lot more HP and less DPS, to make them feel more like tough to kill units and also to make them more distinct from bots(which should be relatively low HP high DPS like they are now).

    I'd like to see sub-commanders, or a weaker commander you can build.
    Or a "Hive" that sends out tiny drones around it, like a mini-factory.
    Also mobile factories.
    The roach would be awesome.
    More on my sub commander Idea,
    It would be awesome if they could do a boost jump and have a melee attack at the end.
    I also would like to see something like the lightbikes from tron, or those motorcycles from terminator salvation.

    • I would like to see T2 anti air on every factory, not just air
    • An orbital unit, similar to an astraeus, that can carry more than one unit.
    • I would like to see T3 factories and units to add a whole new level of gameplay.
    • I would like to see T2 orbital launchers.
    • I would like to see a "rocket ship launcher" that launched units to other planet similar to how a rocket ship today would launch that could hold many units. Of course it would cost more and would be a one time use. You could build each part of the spaceship separately similar to building a nuke in a nuke launcher but there would be more buttons on the bottom for each rocket ship part. (The rocket, the carrying section, etcetera.)
    • I would like to see a new type of all terrain factory like a hover craft factory or something like that.
    • Last, but not least, thanks for reading this post and I hope you will take these things into consideration.

    I would like Mines (undetectable to Radar and have no icon, but you can see them with the naked eye) build-able by normal Fabricators.
    (Also a naval version of mines)

    Why not make it a drop egg that lands, explodes to clear out a space around it, then starts really quick building for a short time. Then it slowly drops to the speed of a regular factory.

    Like a temporary overcharge.

    Hell, you could add this to the game right now if you made it out of a bunch of existing game mechanics.

    Build it from an orbital factory with a lot of cash. It flys into orbit. You select a target on another planet. It drops down, explodes like a nuke, then immediately after the explosion the egg pops open to show a t1 bot factory with 20 t1 bots. From there you just overassist the factory to pump out units to try to get a foothold, with turrets and tons of doxes and expanding out.

    Would require extensive resources, but current games of planet-vs-planet already have intensive resources, yes you still got to struggle so hard to get an enemy planet opened up.

    HERE IS A MECHANIC IDEA RATHER THAN UNIT IDEA: What if every map spawned with at least 6 really small planets without any metal resource, so you could always have an asteroid to toss at a turtle.

    HERE IS A NUKE UNIT IDEA SUGGESTED ELSEWHERE: What if the nuke launcher built a nuke orbital missile that required anti-orbital to shoot, nuke air missile that required anti-air to shoot, and even a nuke truck that just drives torwards the enemy and is vunerable to anti-land?

    • Medium-range direct-fire Kbot
    • Low health, medium firepower.
    • When it fires, it leaps backwards.
    Why?
    • It can harass while retreating, keeping slow units out of range for longer.
    • It's a frog. Frogs are awesome.
    Think of it as a light kbot with a large projectile cannon, when the cannon fires, the recoil is translated into a reverse leap, allowing it to retreat while firing.


    Skyswarm
    • Mobile intel/AA platform with Radar
    • Produces small drones that have light AA guns and provide sight.
    Why?
    • Ground-fire could move the drones (within a range)
    • Provides flexible mobile intelligence
    • A unique type of AA
    Infact, the Skyswarm concept could be adapted to the Advanced AA Tower that we desperately need.


    Buzzard
    • Heavy Gunship with side-mounted guns
    • Chain-gun on each side acquires separate targets within 180-degree arc
    • Slow but highly maneuverable.
    Why?
    • Encourages clever positioning to gain benefit from both guns.
    • Provides heavy ground-support focused on anti-swarm and less useful for killing commanders or other high profile targets.
    • Easy to use but powerful when positioned optimally.

    Not a unit per say but what about planet rings (think saturn rings but in a bit of a smaller scale) made of metal scarp remaining from epic battles of past ages ? could even be reclaimable :)

    I would like to see a portable shield vehicle.

    AEGIS
    • T2, High cost, Low speed, medium health, no weapons.
    • Looks like a tracked generator.
    • Instead of having an internal energy system, let the unit take the shields damage.
    • Can be used as a sacrificial anti-artillery attack escort, if maybe 4-6 pelter shots or 1-2 holkins shots took it out.
    • Can be used in base as a defense screen, with fabbers repairing it constantly - this should drain a lot of energy, like healing a comm.
    • Can be toggled on or off, has to warm up to start working (5-10s)

    Luckily we're on the 55493rd version of the game! :cool:

    Also, generally talking about rings, did you see the ring in the concept art for metal biome that looked like a ring from HALO like the artificial planet. Like a metal planet but in a ring shape?

    Also, does anyone watch the avengers? If so, you might have seen the SHIELD aircraft.

    Maybe there could be something like this that produces drones for you SKYSWARMER idea.
    Like a floating factory that has weapons.

    They are something they want to do but given a planet's curvature you have to keep in mind that Beams face extra difficulties compared to other weapons types. Start reading from here for some insight.
