    Hey the new update was kinda ok, I guess, I have yet to try out the new T2 naval. Lots of fun stuff in I cannot use with my specs :( (Anyone giving away a 2000 EUR computer?). So here's a question: Are there going to be more LOD's included to improve performance on low-end machines?

    Removal of trees would be a good start as well as removal of waves on the sea. Also what would be nice is if we could turn off the rendering of units on planets we are not looking at and maybe have their resolution reduced (for example I'm looking at the moon. The planet that the moon is orbiting around is blurred because it's resolution is reduced as well as non of the unit are visible on low settings. - On medium we see the planet normally, but there are no units or structures or terrain features. - On high we see the planet and structures and terrain features, but no units and on uber we can see everything).

    The size of the new build is 213 MB? Is this normal? I'm using Uber Launcher.

    You can play PA on a 700 to 800 EUR PC with max details and good framerate. Maybe this is more your budget ;)

    Of course there will be ongoing improvments to the performance every patch.

    MY budget currently os 80 EUR. Then I'm broke :p

    Mhh, ok.
    As far as i know, PA depends more on GPU and RAM then on the CPU. Maybe you can make a small upgrade to your machine here...
    Anyway: On release the game will be a lot more optimized than now!

    Thanks a lot man... I just didn't know how that stuff worked... so is there a specific reason as to why the game doesn't natively run at fullscreen then? and is this just a place holder untill game is finally released?

    There is no "native fullscreen" actually there just old method for fullscreen and you can read neutrino's comment about that:

    So there is multiple reasons why game not using modal fullscreen.

    Nope, PA will always use borderless window for fullscreen.

    In other news, the AI is now pretty dangerous. I can still take on 3 AI in the same game without having to worry too much about things, and for now spamming nuke defense sort of defines my current lack of ability to build and scout at the same time. It didn't attack me as much as last time, but I'm pretty sure they were attacking each other. I'll give it a few games and see if it doesn't kick my *** to the curb. They sure build a nice set of defenses, though.

    it seems no one else has made mention yet....did anyone else notice the "single laser turret" that has become available for us to build? i sort of like it's style as compared to the normal one.....unless Uber has a plan for making it a unique structure.... maybe a "cheap" defense turret?

    Gotta say love the new 55493 patch had a game today with FXAA and HDR both on with full graphics all on a sapphire HD7850 graphics card.

    For the first time in ever I was able to see the effect of what smashing another planet into another looks like and it will be good memories.

    Also played around with Naval and noticed while I like the subs the construction sub and the Tier 2 Nuclear Sub does not go underwater. (A option to click to make it dive would be awesome like in supreme commander).

    Also will you have to make the sub build a nuke much like the nuclear missile launch pad.

    Thanks again for being such an awesome team I don't know of any other developers that actually care about their product and play it as well and keeping us guys in the loop all the way.

    Every update is an exciting one so far keep the Uber coming.

    here's the proof! behold the T1 turret's little brother.....which i shall deem the T0.5!

    it is noted that the tiny turret (one on the bottom) has a noticeably shorter range than the plain turret. he MAY also have a faster fire rate, but from my testing, i couldn't tell. he currently has no build bar image, and has the same cost as the standard turret. but perhaps there's a plan for this little one?

    also noted during my testing (in case anyone doesn't already know) was that both turrets (and possibly the T2) have an unofficial minimum range, as noted here:

    they are aiming straight at the locations of those fabbers, but it seems they can only aim so far down.

    so can we get an Uber guy to give us the scoop on this little munchkin turret?

    There is currently serious issue with AMD proprietary drivers, check: FS#2343
