Question about converting PA-Key to Steam Key

Hello,

I just got an PA Key from another person (key from uberstore). How can I convert that key to a steam key? Do I need to activate it before or can the key only be converted by the real buyer?

Uber actually announce that everybody can convert they keys to Steam at any moment. This will be not logical if you won't able to convert key friend gifted to you.

PS: Also I can say 100% sure that I'm able to convert activated key, I think it's will work by the same way for you as well.

There is no entry in "My Keys" after activation.

That's is really strange, I'm totally sure Uber let you convert your key if you want.

There may be certain keys that aren't setup to convert correctly.

Ok, here's the deal. Due to the vagaries of the system some of the keys that we manually give out or that get gifted cannot be converted to Steam without us doing some stuff over here. I won't bore you with the details but if you need this to happen email support@uberent.com and we'll get it taken care of. Make sure you include your account name.

Gifted keys will still need to be manually converted to Steam at this time. We are still working on a feature that will allow users to "gift" keys to other UberNet accounts where they can then convert the key to Steam themselves.

a friend of mine bought the game pretty much 20min after the latets livestream. he got it on steam.
he asked me if there is anyway to make that key a uber.net account key, because he read about those steam-key performance problems.
i couldnt answer him.

so im asking if its possible to change a steam-key to a standard uber-key ?

No, you can't convert Steam key. But even if your friend bought game on Steam he can download and run non-Steam version here:
