Hahahaha. Awww, Mike, you really need a giant dose of "chill out". This is, after all, a forum for a game...

I really struggle to imagine how this would fit into the game in a positive way. Sounds cool, but doesn't make much sense to me.

Whats the point in making a black hole. Is it to render gas giants unusable? If your thinking the black hole will swallow up the solar system then your wrong. The black hole will have the same mass as the gas giant.

The only use for a black hole that I can think of is for sending asteroids and small planets into to be destroyed and removed from play.

However, in the scenario of a map being setup so that a planet collides with a black hole after a certain amount of time, it could make a good micro-plot device. What I like about this idea is that a black hole itself doesn't have any balance issues. The creation of black holes is questionable, though.

I don't think so. Could be that you saw me in some realm videos. Unless it was a random game a while back.

For those interested, if Earth was a black hole, it would be about a centimeter across total. Really tiny.

Yea, black holes would be interesting, but I honestly dont know what the point is to them in this game. Maybe if you could make an artificial singularity weapon or power generator that could have the effect of a black hole.

Why not be a bit more - down to earth, shall we say? I would enjoy Metal planets being special in that they are the only planet sized orbital beings which can move around. They already have engines - inside or something, that they merely need to activate, they should have turrets which can shoot down aircraft etc, tons of cool stuff after they have been activated - in short, a death star. You could take them with you in GW, to serve as an assault base, and they could be a planet sized factory and storage for robots and mass/energy, like towers in Age of Empires, since obviously we would not be able to actually enter inside the planet like the deathstar - game wise, at least. I dont know.

The best way to weaponise a black hole, would be to manipulate its magnetic filed to act as a large scale emp to other commanders, or use the hydrogen/helium to power a massive fusion generator to make a laser cannon that slowly uses up the gas giant.
