I really don't understand why it needs to take so long for it to deploy. More often than not lately it gets destroyed before it's even fully deployed. This is very frustrating for me.
Deploy it where they won't be looking for it. When that doesn't work(it won't for long against experienced players), start creating distractions and doing crap that's counterintuitive to enemies expecting that you just deployed one. Try stuff like retreating back into friendly territory or throwing an airstrike beacon at a corner that'd keep it hidden for a couple seconds.
I have nothing to say, Scrub. I believe they are fine where they are. If anything, they need to be nerfed. If you find that they are taken out too quickly, try to be a little more stealthy about where and when you place them. Wandrian, we gotta play sometime...
I was just trying to keep the other team off the juice and the Annihilator. It was a rough day. Being teamed up with new kids, trying to hold back the opposing team with my Support. It was frustrating. Also yes I'm apparently a scrub.
yeah and uber could you please just go ahead and BREAK the game! .... I kid I kid Seriously, if they shortened the time people would literally be throwing fire bases at people. Skilled supports can already be VERY effective with firebases. Just keep practicing.
I like to help my Support buddies out as a Tank and if I see there firebase in the process of deploying and it getting shot I'll stand directly in the line of fire. It works everytime.
Honestly, firebases are useless against a competent team.. Shortening their deploy time would make them a lot more viable for pushing, as opposed to being just a momentary defense.
i hate to agree when i say, that your throwing the wrong thing at the enemy pros. your supposed to throw airstrikes at them. firebases arent even nearly the same thing. i know they regen faster than airstrikes, but where your currently throwing firebases apparently you need to be throwing airstrikes. seriously tho, if its getting shot, it shouldnt have been placed there. thats called map control. you need to fight for map control. you cant just walk deep into a pile of enemies, throw down a firebase, and say "hey yall, here is your eviction notice, i own this area now, sorry". NIMBY = Not In My Back Yard. if your firebase is getting nimby'd, dont put it in your enemies backyard. unless of course, they arent looking that way. thats where your firebase goes, where the enemy isnt paying attention at. otherwise, you gotta fight them away and THEN put the firebase down. and if your going to fight them off of an area, make sure to bring friends. perferably, heavy-set ones with a gatling gun or a jet engine off of an airplane or something
I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, and I doubt anyone else does, either. *insert comments about buildings still be pointless in competitive play here*
So the solution to my problem is I need to stop playing against people of skill, and stop playing with teammates who are morons. The other day at Ammo Mule Arena the opposing team put two 3.3 firebases in the center. There was nothing my team could do to get rid of these things. I can never manage to be so effective with the firebase.
Juice and kill them. Support healing a gunner/tank can take them out. Ignore them and go round the sides. ..etc.. Firebase setup time is just fine as it is.
It's pretty hard to outshoot a firebase, so go for alternative options like the people that destroy yours do. -attack from beyond it's range(Assault grenades/Gunner mortar/Sniper rifle/Assassin shurikens) -attack from angles it can't cover(mortar/shuriken/bomb/grenades/flak/product bomb) - stun it(Gunner slam/Assassin smokebomb) If a Support is camping his firebase, you need to kill the Support before you can do pretty much anything. If there's two Supports camping two firebases, stick with your teammates and just focus on pushing lanes unless two of your allies decide to push that way together. This is assuming those camping Supports aren't controlling the bot lanes: in that case you need to persuade teammates to join you in taking them out. Juice will help a LOT, but you should still try to avoid tackling a firebase head-on unless it's already damaged or you know your teammates are going to keep on attacking it as well. Trippy.
