When I build factories I almost always have 4-5 dedicated fab bots assist the factory as it builds for the rest of the game. I think that there should be a slider bar on the factory build menu that allows you to control the build speed of units. A Commander would not build a factory that is going to need help to produce units at a tactical level.
The goal is to de-emphasize Assisting factories anyways, so that it will be better to always build more factories instead of assisting a single one, the longer Roll-off times are a part of this. Mike
