pa.exe has stopped working.

Your hardware and software are okay.

Have you tried to reboot your computer? There was same problem for other Nvidia user and inly reboot helped him.

yes, i have tried rebooting a few times.

I don't have any real ideas why this can happen, but there few things you can try:

• If you run game though Steam try download game using Uber launcher and try to run it again.
• Then try to run PA.exe not from Steam client or launcher, but from directory where it's installed.
• Try to run it as administrator.
• Try to open bin_x86 directory and run PA.exe from here. Might be issue only occur with 64-bit version.
