I realized what it could be, and I was right. I had adjusted the bus clock up a little from 104 to 106 MHz in my BIOS and things seemed to still be working normally, at least until this. I changed it back to 104 MHz and now I could unpack the PA archive without trouble. I must say I've never encountered this type of an issue with overclocking before.

    Ubuntu 12.04.4
    Lastest beta flgrx driver

Sound no Graphics, errors that show in terminal but not in the games logs. Very confused.

Check this task on bugtracker: PA#2343
Before you was able to use "--software-ui" and Ctrl+P, but that possible broken at moment.

    Thanks!

It's working, but now I have no idea on how to change the resolution and it falls over if you try and go full screen [goes back to showing nothing].

Been trying to find an answer on the forums, with no luck, game doesn't seem to have a resolution adjuster.

    Also been getting this bug

    4987 07:38:50.948732 W | PID: 4990 | 4990 07:38:50.948406 Requesting resource read for coui://ui/mods/ui_mod_list.js with internal id 83 reported FAIL

It's also known problem. You can edit this file:
    ~/.local/Uber Entertainment/Planetary Annihilation/window_settings.json
And put this code into it:
    Code:
    {"fullscreen":true}
Then it'w will run in fullscreen on start.

I have to say that with the last update and new AMD's drivers, the game works better.
I still have huge FPS drops when adding stuff to the build queue (the green thing): from 40-50 FPS to 8-10 FPS for few seconds.

EDIT: After few mins, I keep getting graphical glitches and FPS back to 20 even after 2 minutes of gameplay.

Hey so i bought the game on steam and i tried to play a game against an AI; everything was set up but the friend/notification bar at the bottom of the screen is covering the start game button and i can't get rid of it. Also it won't open fullscreen, it will stay in a window that i can maximize to fit my screen, but it's not fullscreen. Any suggestions?

Probably mac. Until we get our full SDL implementation in place, true full screen isn't possible on OS/X.

So you decide to use SDL on all platforms?

This might fix problem with no fullscreen without Aero on Windows then... :)

We will probably be moving in that direction, yes. Nothing is for sure until it's done, though. :)
