Maybe a similiar system to say Totalwar games, slider button with gamespeed and pause button. Both or All players have to click on it. Also maybe add a pause to the game till everyone loads, like in DOTA2.
Just bumping this thread due to the topic coming up in #planetaryannihilation (irc.esper.net) just now. A pause feature would be most welcome. I often avoid playing the game or accepting a 1v1 offer becuase I know I am likely to be interrupted (my lady, the cat, work, phone, taking stuff out of the oven, whatever!). It'd be nice to play knowing you can pause the game if you get interrupted. /me hopes for a response from Uber on this one
Please give me a pause button soon. This simple feature would allow me to play thins game like 5x more often. Otherwise I need to try and plan out 45 minutes of continuous freetime before I even think about starting the game up.
just try to open PA again and it should ask you to rejoin if the game is still in progress. I was able to rejoin a game I had with an AI opponent only too.
I think it's due in part to games being hosted on the server. It would also be nice to have a save option or something. Frustrating that a server disconnect destroys a custom game. Maybe custom/solo AI games you can save or pause at will at least. Otherwise I think a vote makes sense.
I RESURRECT THEE! Seriously, now AI is awesome, challenging and can sustain a long game, a Pause feature is more important than ever.
I'm hoping that we keep team armies as well. It's actually really fun if you're playing with people who communicate.
I hope for a pause button as well. Not having one limits my ability to play this game. If I can't play it unless I can dedicate hours of uninterrupted time to it, it just... doesn't work for me right now :/ I have to multitask...
