I tried the link steam to pa link and what not. But that seems for people who bought it on steam and want to access it here. What about the other way around? I bought it on kickstarter (well, actually shortly afterwards), and would like it to be accessible from steam as well. Is there a way of doing that, or will there be?
You can exchange your UberNet key to Steam key, but there is no way back once you converted key. https://store.uberent.com/Account/MyKeys Choose your key in list and convert it to Steam key if you want to.
Uh..well that's interesting. why would there be "no way back"? Not sure what the pros/cons are now :S
Because when you request Steam key you won't be Uber customer anymore, technically. Access to game for you're account will be revoked until you link your Steam account (where you activated key) to Uber account. I doubt there is any. When you linked your accounts you'll able to use Uber launcher (there will be Linux version sometimes in beta), or download tar.bz2 directly. But just for example if Valve ban your account you'll lose access to PA completely. So it's more choice DRM vs DRM free. When you convert your key to Steam it's won't be truly DRM-free anymore.
I'm trying to convert my key to steam but when i try to activate it through steam it says code is invalid. Any ideas I am using chrome if that makes any difference.
Are you sure you're not trying to activate you Uber store key in Steam? Steam keys Uber provide currently are always have this format: ABCDE-ABCDE-ABCDE While Uber store keys always looks like this: abc-abcd-abc
yeh iv registered with uber store but i want to convert it to steam but when i click on it the page refreshes but nothing has changed
