I find myself pulling my hair out almost every game I play, wether its due to lag, countless bugs, or frequent game crashes.I had looked forward to this game for so long and now I am so disappointed, I'll admit it is an excellent game but thats only when i play on moon planets but even with that I still get problems. I know its in beta and all that but it cant be difficult to fix some of the bugs that cause so much hassle. Some of the problems are my computers fault but before I bought the game I checked to see if i could play and I was just above the minimum requirement but it feels like im playing it with a game boy software with all these problems. But the bugs and server crashes aren't my fault. I feel that the game could have solved so much of these problems if uber addressed them instead of telling people about whats "upcoming" even though a player is dangling by a thread when playing a game so i have no idea how players will manage to play in the final version or if uber focused on their current biggest game thats still in development instead of also focusing on toy rush, seriously uber one game at a time. I am not a troll im just a player who has had a rage building up over a game for a long time.

Oh dear. The lack of brain cells in that post hurts.

    Let me try and explain.

It's beta. A real beta. Not a CoD 'Beta-but-the-game-is-finished-and-we're-just-building-publicity' type beta, no. A 'This-****-is-*******-broke-test-it-and-help-us" beta. A real beta. We transitioned from Alpha less than a week ago.

In fact, scrap all that. You should shelf this 'broken' game until it releases, because hey, it won'tbe (as) broken then! You're clearly not going to add anything useful to the beta beyond baseless complaints and 'I want I want I want'.

I once built a house. We just finished with the first floor and started on the walls for the second floor.

Then the owner came and complained. It rained on his bed in the second floor, the wind came in through the holes in the walls were windows would go eventually. He fell down the stairs we hadn't added yet and complained how our company was building a second house down the street even though his house obviously was bugged.

And worst of all, the toilet was leaky. Why couldn't the plumber fix it? Its only not connected to the sewers yet after all.

A lot of stuff has been added that makes the game comparatively unplayable compared to the alpha. Please be patient for them to fix all of the new bugs and hardware issues highlighted by all these new users. Then they can concentrate on polishing and improving the features and the UI.

It's not supposed to be fun yet. You do not understand the meaning of "beta".

I urge everyone to save this and post it on every 'why so buggy!?!?!?' thread. It will save frequent forum goers a lot of time and energy...

Yea as someone else on this thread said:

    Welcome to a real beta.

In fact, have you even read the (quite small) agreement when you started the game? it says it's broken. it says it'l have bugs. it says it'll melt your computer.

Tons of stuff is planned and being worked on. If you watch the Beta Livestream that's still atop the topic list, you'll hear Neutrino say they worked long hours (at one time, he felt stopping at 2 o'clock in the middle of the night was EARLY) to get the game to Beta and implement the last super-major features like Planet Smashing.

The game is being optimized, changed, bug fixed, expanded, iterated and improved at every corner, every day. They're working their asses off to get this game further. A year ago, this game was an idea on paper accompanied by a video. Now, we have most of the major stuff in the game. It's an accomplishment of gargantuan proportions.

The fact that you would comment on my amount of brain cells as a cheap shot at trying to get back at me for giving negatives about your game is pathetic. Yes i know what beta is, no need to explain it to me. Thats exactly what I was talking about "test it and help us" people have been testing it but there has been no fixes and if there have been its taken around two weeks.I know it was only a week ago since alpha, I've been an alpha players but the bugs ive seen haven't been fixed and its already beta. Baseless complaints? No this is what game franchises need to know. "I want,i want" i hardly demanded anything in my post, the only thing I want is for Uber to put at least 10% effort into fixing parts of the game.

Thank you for being polite in your reply. I have noticed a huge difference in lag issues but the bugs i experienced in alpha that were a big issue are still in beta, I just think uber should focus on them more

Can you check to see if the bugs you experience are actually reported? i know that Uber is working on ingame bug reporting and they have a bugtracker up, so i guess they're focusing on better bug detection and handling.

These things aren't so much bugs but they are relative, game loading time, game crashes, user interface crashes

No, he's saying what the majority of us are thinking. It's a BETA. You obviously don't have a full grasp of that. You don't come here and pitch little fits. You have bugs to report, do it! That would be useful. I see many post like this, even on Steam. Kids, I tell you.

You have to understand Uber is fixing things and they aren't going to release updates to every little bug. I'm sure they're a few versions ahead of what is released. So you either don't play or you help them develop this game and wait for the updates to come on Uber's time.[/quote]

Sorry it's not real bugs for alpha/beta software and they related to tons of different issues. You were warned that you buy unfinished and not optimized version of game. Any optimization are last step in development process, nobody ever optimize games before all functions are implemented.

Other fact: long loading times and low performance currently it's mostly problem of Nvidia users, it'e mean this is not problem for everyone. All time in alpha there wasn't any problems for them, but currently there is. Just wait for next release.

Also devs can't handle UI crashes fast because they use external middleware and most likely they don't have it's source code, but they already reported problem will be fixed soon:

Actually it seems to be mostly related to the system manager. If i load a 1 or 2 body system for a multiplayer game, it launches within 1 minute. I had a game on a 6-planet system and after 15 minutes of my computer being absolutely unresponsive i forcibly restarted it.

Not completely true, optimization is a ongoing thing that is allredy in progress and will be for the rest of development. Off course the optimization wont be anywhere near finished until release, and even then they will want to optimize it more.

Okay I agree, I want say this:
Developers won't stop implementing new features just to fix bugs, bug fixing is ongoing process which aren't 1st priority at this stage.

Yea, bug fixing cant be a primary concern in a alpha, since every new feature will break the game and add a ton of bugs.

Its better to fix the main bugs and move on, then stop and polish when all the features are implemented.

However i assume they will focus more on bugs now in Beta, but i still think they have some more stuff to implement before they can make it their primary focus.

Uber said that because the Beta build was so huge, it also introduced a ton of new bugs.
