For one, I hate having to do a captcha after logging in ... I know forum spam is evil, but is there any way to get rid of that? Second, in Linux, at least Arch64, alt-enter doesn't do anything, at all.(Looking on bug tracker to keep from making a duplicate now) Third, when are we going to get skirmish matches, or at least the ability to specify an army to be ai? Any time I start a match with the intent of playing ai so I can get caught up to the alpha players, some jackass jumps into the game. Regardless of what the system is called ...("DON'T JOIN I'm trying to play A.I." means nothing to some of us...)....
It's only for new users. Actually I'm asked Lennard (he's administrator of this forum) to remove it for people who own game, but this not done yet. Want to believe he's fix this in future. Currently fullscreen only works on Windows, but actually on linux you can force fullscreen in your window manager. Is it a problem? Actually when you run game before anyone join all empty will be filled with AI. Some option for creation of AI/passworded/etc games will be available in future.
I like that, keeps spammers down, but takes away annoyance from actual players. Definitely gets my vote. Didn't think to try that, can switch the game to 'Windowed' and maximize that, works well enough for now. It'd be nice if they specified that in the patch notes tho.... From what I say, it just says Fullscreen is now available, hit alt+enter. Kinda makes me feel left out. I haven't used Windows at home since '08, and greatly appreciate how companies like this are starting to build native games for the rest of us. But occasionally we get a slap in the face like that.... I fully understand then getting it to work on one platform before the others, just point that out so I don't go nuts thinking my alt/enter buttons are screwed... Well, it's taking too long for the game to start, giving enough time for people to join. Besides, sometimes I just need target practice, not a full on game.
This game don't have and won't have modal fullscreen. It's mean your Window Manager fullscreen will work exactly how it's works on Windows: as borderless fullscreen. And there is more important things need to be fixed on Linux first. Do you run game though Steam? If yes read this: http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/0/864980277623586863/ For some Windows users Steam Overlay increase loading times and discreate FPS dramatically, it's interesting if there same issue on Linux or not.
