When I click the link, all I see In any case, driver version 8.17 corresponds to Catalyst 13.4, the last non-beta driver before 13.9 (the most recent driver), and the most recent driver approved for Windows Vista. 13.9 is only approved for Windows 7 SP1, 8, and 8.1. Thus, his driver is not technically outdated.
For me it's working fine. I'm doubt that 13.4 might have modification date from September of 2012, are you sure about that?
This is really strange, that's never happen before. Can you try to run PA.exe directly (not though Steam or launcher)? Also can you check any other game, is it working? Just to be sure driver installed correctly.
Other games are working, I also tried running it separate. To be honest, my computer is cursed. This kind of junk happens all the time. I was able to play the alpha after re-installing it once, the first install I could not click on my commander nor the menu buttons. It worked after that, do you think I should try re-installing it again?
Better try to run PA.exe as administrator. I'm seriously doubt this (problem with startup) might be related to newer drivers anyhow.
No, simply a blank screen that lead to no where. I waited a good 10 minutes before exiting. Like I said. This happens ALOT with my computer. Unexplainable errors. Loveee it
Can you check PA logs in this directory: C:\Users\YOUR_WINDOWS_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\log\ And upload some "black screen" log here? Why you just don't move to clean Windows 7 then? Or at least have you tried clean reinstall?
